Dancing into the Light and Dancing into the Dark Student Showcases

Sahina is delighted to invite you to an evening of vibrant bellydancing and beautiful music at the 7th annual Dancing into the Dark bellydance student showcase!

Dancing into the Dark will be held on Sunday, November 18 at the Florence Community Center in Florence MA. The show begins at 7 pm (Doors at 6:45 pm) and will feature a variety of group and solo works by Sahina's wonderful and talented students.

Early tickets are now closed but tickets will be available at the door for $20. Note- there are no physical tickets, just a list of reservations so please be sure to leave the names of everyone you are purchasing tickets for.

About the Student Showcases

Chaya Leia and Sahina began the student showcases, Dancing into the Dark (fall) and Dancing into the Light (spring), in 2011 to give their students a space to share what they have learned in bellydance classes with their friends and family. Over the years some of their advanced students including Melissa, Aralia Pearl, and Lisa Wall, have been mentored into the professional realm and now teach classes of their own and when possible are contributing teachers to the student showcases. Chaya has been on break from teaching since 2014 so currently Sahina is running the showcases.

When I think of what I could do when you first introduced the choreography and how our performances ended up in the show I can only be impressed at how far you brought us in class! You are so thorough in your drilling of the choreography and yet take time to answer individual questions and review all the details of each move. You have a very positive attitude and bring out the best in your students with encouragement and flexibility. The passion you bring to your subject is obvious and infectious.
